I had a great trip to lovely Woodlake. As you might expect with a name like Woodlake, the town feels like it is right in the shadow of the Sierras. And from short stay, it also feels like a mining/logging influenced town, even though it probably isn't. Maybe because it reminds me of Morehead, Kentucky, a town definitely influenced by resource extraction and also home of Morehead State (and a nice little coffee shop called the Fuzzy Duck), which I (and probably you) had only heard of because they occasionally make the NCAA tournament. And so we come back to basketball.
I should really start taking notes at these games. The big picture was this - Shafter started slow, but forced a lot of turnovers, took the lead in the second half, and made free throws at the end.
This makes three wins in a row for the Generals. Good work, fellas!
