Game called off due to weather.
Shafter goes up the mountain tonight as 20 point underdogs according to Calpreps. This will be the fourth game in a row with roughly the same expectation. Shafter has won two of those and lost the third by a smaller margin than the computer expected. The model is adjusting to Shafter's performance, but Tehachapi is the best team of the bunch and Shafter is on the road, so bar slides up a bit.
As usual, Tehachapi has size and athleticism to spare. Dougan Patience, Jordan Beardsley, and Corey Torres lead the scoring. I am also impressed by Corey Lange, a 6-1 sophomore guard who has launched his 165 pound into several "thundering dunks" on the year.
Shafter leads the all-time series 46 to 38, with the outcome of one game unknown. Tehachapi has won the last 5 contests.
